Love Your Car

Hello Friends,

Valentine's Day is right around the corner, and we want February to be "Love Your Car" month.  Most of us rely heavily on our car(s) to get us from point A to point B, and then to point C, D, and E.  What keeps our cars reliable to prevent us from worrying each time we have a trip to make? How can we have an idea of future repairs to expect, so we can plan for them, instead of a car repair becoming an emergency? The answer to both questions is regular maintenance.  We would love to help maintain your car and answer any questions you might have, to ensure a trustworthy and reliable vehicle.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS

"Auto technicians say the key to keeping vehicles running well-today and down the road- is routine maintenance.  Yet many drivers tend to stall when it comes to keeping up with some everyday auto-basics." (http://www.carcare.org/car-care-service-schedules/general-service-schedule/)  Always check your owner's manual for specific maintenance needed for your car, but also keep in mind the following:

  • Check all fluids
  • Check tire inflation
  • Keep your engine tuned
  • Have the chassis lubricated frequently
  • Check battery cables and posts for corrosion and clean them as needed
  • Check the lighting system
  • Check windshield wiper blades for cracks, tares, and contact
  • Inspect engine belts
  • Check air filtration system
